Rabbi Michael Lerner is editor of Tikkun, chair of the Network of Spiritual Progressives, and rabbi of Beyt Tikkun Synagogue-Without-Walls in Berkeley, California. He is the author of eleven books, including The Left Hand of God and Jewish Renewal: A Path to Healing and Transformation. His most recent book is Revolutionary Love.
Rabbi Lerner reflects on what it means to be a truth-teller and moral human being who has fought for human rights and dignity for more than five decades. Rabbi Lerner also offers a vision for saving America from the evils of Trumpism and other cruelty based upon what he describes as “revolutionary love” and “radical empathy”. And Rabbi Lerner warns that the Democratic Party and too many liberals and progressives are unable to connect with white working class people because of elite condescension and “political correctness”.
