Laurence Tribe is a professor of constitutional law at Harvard University. Tribe is also the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University. He is the author of several books including his most recent (co-written with Joshua Matz) To End a Presidency: The Power of Impeachment.
Professor Tribe explains that impeachment will not stop Donald Trump and why the Democrats should instead use investigations and hearings to stop his assault on democracy. Tribe also offered a warning--now fulfilled--that the final Mueller report about Trump and Russia would not save America because the special counsel's mandates were too narrow. And Laurence Tribe answers the frightening question that must now be pondered again in light of Mueller and Barr's decisions about Trump, collusion and obstruction of justice: What if Donald Trump is defeated in 2020 and he refuses to leave the presidency?
On this week's show, Chauncey DeVega explains why Attorney William Barr did his job as Trump's personal insurance policy by protecting his boss from charges of obstructing justice. Chauncey also highlights the many questions summoned by Barr's 4 page summary of Mueller's report and what in total looks like a political cover-up.
